  1. Please Reduce the Increments for Community Pricing

Please can you reduce the increments for Community Pricing?

I know I'm not the first to request this on the forums, and there is a suggestion of how it can be done here:

    http://community.logos.com/forums/t/36104.aspx

It seems that when products have $10 increments, the price falls less often than when products have smaller increments, such as $1, $2 or $5, or when there is only a short time between the the announcement of bids closing and the actual closing date.

The problem is that when increments are large, there is less of an incentive for people to bid, as it seems…

    • Add more Patristic works to CP

Personally, I am especially hoping for:
      • Symeon the New Theologian
      • Isaac of Nineveh
      • Gregory of Nyssa: Life of Moses
      • Gregory the Great: Dialogues
      • John Climacus: The Ladder of Divine Ascent
      • Commentaries/sermons on the Song of Songs
      • Those writings that are most quoted in the ACCS, the Catena Aurea, council documents, the CCC and so on, yet are still missing in Logos.

For some of these there are probably modern translations that would be preferable over older ones, but for others Public Domain works would be an acceptable, or the only, alternative.

      • Add more Jewish works to CP

Lots of the most important Jewish works are still missing in Logos, like:
        • The Tosefta
        • The Midrash Rabbah
        • Most of the other classic midrashim (Sifra, Sifre, etc)
        • The Targumim (in English translation)
        • Rashi's commentaries
        • Maimonides' (Rambam) theological and philosophical works
        • Nachmanides (Ramban) (especially the Commentary on the Torah)
        • ibn Ezra (other than the Isaiah commentary, which we've got)
        • Rashbam
        • Qimhi
        • The Shulchan Aruch
        • The Zohar
        • Siddurim and lectionaries

For some of these there are probably modern translations that would be preferable over older ones (the Aramaic Bible…

          • Extend Minimum Community Pricing Closure Time to at Least 1 Week

Please can you extend the minimum time that it takes to close community pricing bidding to at least one week?

As I understand it, the bidding always closes at noon on Friday (or soon thereafter), and any product that reaches 100% (or otherwise triggers bids to close) before the preceding Wednesday enters the closing bidding phase. This means a minimum of two days for final bids, though it can be up to eight or nine days if 100% is reached just after the Wednesday cut-off.

When there is a longer time period, the number of Community Pricing bids tend to…

              • Put Reviews by Spurgeon or Edwards up for Philip Doddridge's Works to Familiarize More People with it

In the Works of Philip Doddridge is his six volume New Testament commentary "The Family Expositor." This is an amazing commentary that was very highly regarded by Charles Spurgeon and Jonathan Edwards. Most people are not familiar with this commentary. Please put up a quote from Spurgeon about this set on the item's home page along with a stat about how much Edward's quoted from this commentary in order to peak the interest in this great set. The actual quote of spurgeon and the stats on how much Edwards quoted from it can be found on this forum conversation: http://community.logos.com/forums/t/49790.aspx

                  • Get the What the Bible Teaches series by Ritchie (http://www.ritchiechristianmedia.co.uk) in Logos

                    Info on New Testament Series

WHAT THE BIBLE TEACHES is a series of commentaries published with a view to opening up in a clear concise manner the teaching of the New Testament. The contributors are well known Bible expositors, having ministered the Word and conducted Bible Readings in many of the English speaking countries of the world. The style is both expository and practical. Each commentary has been written specifically for the series, and has not been taken from tapes or culled from other publications. To the enquiring mind, this and companion volumes of the series are a storehouse of…

                    • include "An Aramaic Approach to the Gospels and Acts" in the Logos Library.

I am surprised that Logos has not yet digitized this classic book. Unfortunately, it is no longer available in the large bookstores (such as Amazon), but it's importance for the study of the NT cannot be overstated. Please consider including this title in your collections. It would make an excellent addition.

                        • Provide digital code with print editions

I think it would be cool for Logos to work with the publishers to provide a code with print editions that have corresponding copies available on Logos. This code would allow someone to redeem it for the same work in their Logos library, for free. This way if someone would like to have both editions they don't have to pay twice.

A tremendous resource that I would've to utilize within Logos 6. I own and use the hardbound version and would love to have the ease of using its content within Logos!
